Sick Kids

Well, I managed to have a sick Jace home with me on Friday and today Erin is sick. Boy do we love the flu! Come on flu shot, do your work! Mom does NOT want the flu.

Jace had his 2nd basketball game this season. His team won 42-9. He did great! His coaches were talking about what a great player he is, how he blocks so well and steals the ball. He made a lot of points today! Jace had 3 fouls, although he disagrees with the number. He thinks he only had 2. It was a good game!

A good big brother

In my bleary, still wishing I was asleep state this morning, Erin was talking to Jace over their oh-so-healthy breakfast of Pops cereal. (Great mom eh?!) She was telling him about how excited she was for his next basketball game and how she was going to cheer louder for him than anyone else in the gym. I thought about what that says about the love she has for him, even though she drives him nuts on a daily basis, she looks up to him. While at the bus stop this morning, I was talking to another parent about Jace and Erin. He was telling me about 2 of his 4 kids and how they were bickering and hitting eachother all the way home from California. I thought about how special it is that Jace has never laid a finger on Erin. Even though his buttons get pushed, he hasn't ever lost his cool and physically harmed her. He's such a good kid.

Not so mean after all?

Today is beautiful! The kids chose to spend their entire morning inside playing computer games, listening to music and watching cartoons. After hours of prodding and giving out chore lists, they finally decided to go out and get some sunshine. They're even enjoying themselves. Go figure! Maybe Mom's not altogether off her rocker?
